Lincoln has a wonderful zoo with an aviary, flamingos, red panda, camel, crocodiles and so much more. You can take a tour on the train that circles the zoo, ride one of the miniature ponys, or grab a snack at the Safari cafe (don't forget to visit Leo the Lion!)

There is so much to do and see at the children's museum. There is currently a happy healthy pets exhibit. Let your children explore tiny town where there is a miniature Union Bank, HyVee, Sam & Louie's pizza, and the Lincoln Fire & Rescue firetruck to name some of the many exhibits.

The Lux Center has some great programs whether you are seeking out a fun time for a girl's night out, a date night, or you just want to learn a new art skill such as pottery, jewelry making, or an overall art sampler course. There are even classes for the kids (ages 5-9) or tweens (ages 10-13.)

There are a number of nearby wineries that are fun to visit. Most offer an opportunity to taste a selection of their wines and some offer a selction of small bites. Visiting the wineries allow you to see more of Nebraska and experience some new tastes.
